| I've lived in Oak Knoll since May 2003, and I already plan on moving out this coming May. Oak Knoll is, flat out, the cheapest apartment complex in the city of Fairfax.A 3-bedroom apartment costs 1100, and all utilities are included. However, they are extremely stingy with AC,-the heat breaks often,-the leasing office personnell are almost non-existent,-the maintenance people are generally helpful, but are quite odd,-most, if not all units are uncarpeted, and you must buy your own rugs to cover the entire floor (or they will evict you).-the walls and ceilings are extremely thin, you can hear everything your neighbor says and does-there is no security (large amounts of security are unnecessary in this part of town, but there is NO security),-there is a horrendous cockroach and ant problem,-the tenants are generally redneckish/foreign families that let their children run amock throughout the complex,-they don't allow pets of any sort,-parking is absolutely HORRIBLE (every apartment gets one numbered space, regardless of the number of tenants[my apartment has 4 tenants],-and the apartments are ill-designed. Basically, if you want to live in the cheapest place in Fairfax, this is your place.Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. |
