Apartment Review for Copperfield Square/Gainsborough Ct - Fairfax, VA

I've been lazy about looking for another apartment, but I'm leaving when my lease is over. For me, the cons outweigh the pros. This isn't the worse place, but it could be better. Pros: Washer and dryer in unit. Parking is adequate. You can have large dogs, if that's your cup of tea. Roomy apartments. Dishwasher (I don't use mine, but there is one albeit, old). Walking distance to grocery store. Cue/Metro Bus stops right outside. Playground, but many people apparently would rather let their kids play in the streets and parking lots. Cons: Not enough storage in the apartment. Cabinets in kitchen are old. Tile on kitchen floor is old and dingy; doesn't look clean even when mopped. Sometimes snow isn't removed until noon, which doesn't do those of us who need to get to work any good. Communications from the rental office don't always make sense, like them taping letters on your door saying you have a pest infestation problem, when you don't (I called the rental office about it and was told, "Oh, we just put the same notice on everyones door."). Taping notices on doors that say a specific type a maintenance will occur on a certain day, but no one shows up to perform said maintenance until, in some cases, three weeks later. Noise, but usually only when there are people with children living above. No peepholes on the doors. Apartment is very, very cold in winter and hard to keep warm. Tip: If you have a Verizon cell phone, you may not be able to get reception in your apartment. Before I switched to another carrier, I had to go outside to use my cell phone.
