Apartment Review
Worth much less than what we're paying.

Our rent keeps going up up up, but the quality of the complex and our apartment isn't.

When we moved in, a chunk of the kitchen counter was missing. Someone came in and very sloppily replaced that missing piece. Its an eyesore.

There were also prints left from previous furniture in the carpet and when we vacuum, it smells like wet dog.

Half of the electrical outlets don't work, and the cable outlet benieth the computer desk also doesn't work. When we tried to install cable internet, the installation tech gave us two options: Bust down the bedroom wall to run a cable to that outlet (because there was none), or run a very long cable all the way around the bedroom wall and back out to the computer.

Ants and Asian Lady Beetles are a problem indoors, wasps outdoors.

People let their dogs poop everywhere and don't bother to clean it up despite the available dog poo recepticals. The grounds team doesn't clean it up, either, so you have to watch your step.

The walls are VERY thin. We can hear the neighbors on all sides holding normal conversations. Imagine when they are fighting, being intimate or thier dogs are barking all night! There is also one particular block of apartments with rather loud tennants that like to blast thier car stereo systems at odd hours, yell at each other across the parking lot and have loud parties almost every weekend.

That same block recently experienced some sort of water line break that continually flooded at least one apartment for a few days.

The fire alarms have gone off at random at times. This is something that happens with any electrical fire alert system, sadly. But when there was an electrical fire in my building a while back, the alarms DIDN'T go off in all of the sections of the building. We had no idea our building was on fire! Luckily, it was small and quickly contained.

The management team continually fails to notify us if a package has been left in their office by a lazy deliveryman that doesn't want to take the time to deliver it to the apartment.
