Apartment Review for Carmel Vienna Metro - Fairfax, VA

Why didn't I read these reviews before moving here? I'll tell you why, they're gorgeous BEAUTIFUL apartments... and the staff are awesome, HA! the staff that take you on the tour that is... the ones you have to deal with in the office AFTER you've been wooed, are a whooole nother story. As Im writing this it's midnight, and yes I do have a life, but apparently the people above me have one that's much more exciting because they're been living it up for the past two hours- you can hear EVERYTHING from the floor above you )e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. The ammeneties are great, BUT you can "rent" out the movie room, lounge room, etc so if ONE person/family rents them for the night.. then you're S.O.L. The "free" starbucks coffee is never refilled, and when it is, I see people taking caraffes and thermoses downstairs and filling them up- are you kidding me? If you can afford the crazy rent here, you can afford your own coffee. The BUSINESS lounge is always occupied, at least in the evenings and weekend mornings when I've tried to use it,by kids playing computer games, and the paper or toner, one or the other, always needs refilled. The concierge is a joke, they had ONE good lady, Mary, she was the aaaawesome, and the rest are just awful. She was cheery, professional and just great to have there. Now the staff for the concierge acts like you're bothering them when you tear them away from reading an email to get a package or guest parking pass.. it's just a joke. IT's all a front. This place has ALOT of potential, but in the two months we've been here we haven't seen any improvements and will definitely be looking elsewhere. GREAT. now they're doing their laundry upstairs. At midnight... and I can hear every cycle. sigh.. - from a sleepy resident on the 3rd floor that thought almost two grand a month would buy a peaceful night of rest.
