Apartment Review
WORSE THAN MY COLLEGE DORM!!!
Review Date: 5/5/2008
Reviewer: Anonymous

Housing prices dropped and I'm finally leaving Circle Towers. Woohoo! The place was an absolute nightmare to live in. We are so happy to soon be able to move out. We had to put up with non-working elevators (we live on 12th floor), non-working washers/dryers, a repeat molestor loose in the building, ongoing lack of hot water, early morning wake-up construction, early morning wake-up garbage removal, a massive influx of single bachelor immigrants, increased rent prices, interior construction, exterior construction, reduction of services, 2am fire alarm drills, a parking garage which could be classified as a muddy swamp, etc, etc. Right now my apartment is over 100 degrees and they tell me the air won't be on for another 10 days. The place is like a dorm with the loud music and partying. Last weekend's India Cricket championship party woke us up at 3am. The increase in rent is driving the families out and bachelors are moving in by the hundreds. I think management restricts the number of door passes per apartment since there are always men waiting outside the front door to be let in. For months there was no hot water. Just try looking at the parking garage. Half of it is under construction, the other half under water when it rains. My car paint job has been wrecked from pebbles falling from the roof. At least they removed the tacky balcony railings, but by now my rent has increased over $700 a month to $1900s from $1200s over just 3 years. I used to be able to pick up packages from about 9am - 9pm, now they restrict it to like 4-6pm. Last time I was there the office closed early however. There was a molester loose in the building. I don't think they ever caught him but I haven't heard about him lately. My wife says most of the dryers are busted and someone yelled at her then sabotaged our load when she removed his finished load from a working dryer. Fortunately we haven't had any 1am fire drills in a while but yes, they were frequent. The garbage truck wakes me up at 7:30am everyday. Construction jackhammers start at 8:30am everyday. The tow trucks are very efficient. My car's plates expired and my car was towed, then the tow company denied taking it, then wouldn't release it to me since they didn't know when they towed it or how much to charge. The elevators broke down so often, I wouldn't bother with them. Then I had to wait for them to be replaced. I think the staff in the office have had 100% turnover, I don't recognize anyone any more. The place has been bought and several times since I've been there. New management of course is always quick to raise the rent. My advice, find a desperate real estate speculator who has a townhouse to rent and make a lowball offer.
