Apartment Review for Circle Towers Apartments - Fairfax, VA

I lived here for 2 years with 2 other roommates while attending school. The best thing about this apartment is the surrounding area. It is within walking distance of a 7-11, fast food, bars, and half a mile for the Vienna/Fairfax Metro Station. Crime is very low in this area. I used to walk to 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts in the wee small hours of the morning, and never had any trouble, aside from the occasional panhandler. That said, the biggest problem is the elevators. Both elevators are never in service. This makes moving quite the hassle. There have also been times when no elevators were in service. Needless to say, if you are elderly, pregnant, or handicapped get an apartment on the ground floor or don't live here at all. I am a healthy young man, and I found walking up 11 flights of stairs to be quite the challenge after buying groceries. The management told us that they were in the process of fixing the elevators. Turns out, that was bullsh#t. According to other tenants, they have been saying the same thing since 1996. Since I have moved out, they raised the rent by $300 and remodeled the hallway. I guess this was their way throwing a dress on a pig. When I moved out they charged me $1500 for damage to the carpet. When I asked to see a receipt for the new carpet, they said the would "get back to me." I called a dozen more times, and they still haven't gotten back to me to this day. The maintenance team was pretty decent. However, if you need to pick up a package, you better do it before 7pm.
