Apartment Review for Elms At Oakton - Fairfax, VA

I agree with other posters that this is an older apartment complex and isn't the best example of construction. I did have to do some of my own handy work on a couple doors in the apartment to get them to close and latch right, but no big deal. I have a 2 bed/2 bath with the added sunroom w/raised ceiling and the apartment is larger than most condos I am currently looking at. I have never had any problems with management and they always seem helpful, so I guess it depends on what attitude you have when you go to see them. I also have never heard a single peep out of the apartments next to me or below me, so I don't know if it is just good sound insulation, or if I just got lucky with my neighbors.

The only thing I would change is I would have gotten an apartment further away from Jermantown road since I hear the traffic all the time...and the Fire station is just around the corner so they are always screaming by. But that isn't the fault of the apartment complex, so I can't hold that against them. All told, I've been pretty content here...and the parking is much better than my last apartments.
