Apartment Review for The Reserve At Fairfax Corner - Fairfax, VA

Have you ever heard that saying if it doesn't apply to you, don't mess with it. Well, let me tell you that when people tried to warn us about the Reserve, I INSISTED that maybe it was the way they handled things. For beginners, the maintenance crew come into your apartment UNANNOUNCED -- they are supposed to give you 24 hour notice but they will swear out the notice flew off the door. Our heating system went on the blink several times and they sent someone out on two different occasions before getting the older man who knew what he was doing. We would get a notice less than 24 HOURS and then on the day the maintenance person crew was to show up TWO different crews would show up at different times because of LACK OF COMMUNICATION. One of our neighbors told me that a maintenance person removed a drink from her refrigerator (she did say that he was let go as well). Some of the staff will appear to be very nice but I am warning you like someone warned us. Just ask to have your door, which has a 1" gap between the bottom of the door and the floor repaired and watch their reaction. When we moved to the Reserve there were two wonderful people working in the front office but they have had the good sense to move on to another job. PROMISES ARE REPEATEDLY MADE and when we check on the status of the promise we are ALWAYS told the person you made that arrangement with is no longer here in terms of repairs. We outlived every single person/family in our building and now we understand why people check in and check out right away. Okay, let's just say that we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now, I will STOP ignoring people kind attempts to warn me about a bad situation. I normally like to check things out for myself but in this case I should have listed.
